East German Train Set from 1980's.
Royal Saxon State Railroads
$300.00
This is a vintage East German train set is complete in all details. Has inter-liner that is missing with most boxes, the coin shaped pin, the extra packages of parts and the engine and three cars.
History of the train:
This was the state-owned railway network that operated in the Kingdom of Saxony from 1869 until 1918 and was eventually merged into the unified national Deutsche Reichbahn.
This Piko model features precise lettering which means the model is historically replication an Era I (Pre-Federation) locomotive. A fantastic, highly detailed subject for a focused historical layout or just a prized possession.
This train runs on 12V DC system. The Power Flow: One rail carries the positive charge and the other rail carries the negative charge. The locomotive picks up the power through its wheels on one side, runs it through a 12-volt DC motor inside the chassis and returns the current through the opposite side wheels.
Direction Control: To change the direction your transformer/controller simply reverses the polarity of the DC current, (swapping the rail current).
2 rail track and 12V DC analog controller are NOT INCLUDED in this offer. (We may or may not have some in stock at the time of purchase but you can inquire).
We have included pictures of every angle of the Locomotive, the 3 passenger cars and the box that we imagine so you get a complete picture of your purchase. You can see two tiny broken plastic pieces on the one passenger car but the pieces are included. (for regluing). The box is in very good shape on the top but each end has some cover missing from previous tape closure and the one corner is torn but could be repaired easily. The asking price reflects these defects from a pristine train set. This is an excellent representation of the East German Koniglich Sachs Sts. E.B. set.
Discolsure: At the time of this input we have not tested the train because we did not have the proper equipment, the set doesn't reflect much use or abuse. The club will update this description IF we do clean the locomotive and/or run the unit.
